Version 1.0.0
ECOM Documentation
Editorial Shopify theme — built for stores that want to look like a magazine, not a marketplace.
These docs are written for the person setting up the store. Every setting in the theme editor has an entry — what it does, what to type into it, and what the result looks like. If you're a developer customizing ECOM, look for the For developers callouts.

How these docs are organised
The sidebar follows the order you'll most likely use ECOM:
- Introduction — what ECOM is, and how to install it.
- Configuration — every global setting (Theme settings), then Header and Footer.
- Sections — every section you can add to a page, plus how Products, Collections, Cart, and Search work.
- Content — blog, pages, contact form, customer accounts, and the demo-content system.
- Advanced — metafields you can wire up, performance and accessibility notes.
- Reference — FAQ, changelog, and how to get support.
Conventions
- Bold matches what you'll see in the Shopify theme editor — section names, setting labels, buttons.
Monospaceis for file names, setting IDs, and metafield keys.- Numbered steps walk you through a task. Bullets list options or settings.
- Callouts: 💡 Tip · ⚠️ Warning · 🛠️ For developers · ℹ️ Note.
